“Ellie May Clampett” and “Colonel Sherman Potter” (piano) I recognize. But who’s the goober in the red shirt who winds up getting shot? He looks familiar. Was he one of the Beatles?
Seems Elvis suggested the idea for this movie to the powers that be! Of all of his light musicals, this one was the most “different” – supporting star Sue Ann Langdon said she was more proud of this film than “Roustabout”.
Had Johnny Carson’s TV Director; some very strong numbers.
Gotta say, however, coulda been waaaay better.
